Four arrested after gun, ammunition and large quantity of cocaine seized in Kilkenny
Four people are in custody after a gun and ammunition were recovered after gardai searched a vehicle in south Kilkenny yesterday afternoon.
Three men were arrested after the vehicle was stopped and searched by gardai in Glenmore at around 4pm yesterday.
Three suspects, aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested and taken to Thomastown and Waterford Garda stations where they were questioned under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
Then, in a follow up search of a house in the Glenmore area, a large quantity of cocaine was seized.
A fourth person was arrested and subsequently detained and questioned for drug trafficking offences.
A local Garda spokesperson told KilkennyNow.ie: “Investigations are ongoing.”
