LATEST: Kilkenny among 444 new cases of virus as eight further deaths confirmed
A further eight more people have died after contracting the coronavirus as 444 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed this evening.
It brings the overall death toll from the virus to 1,930. There are now 63,483 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the country, according to the latest daily briefing from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).
The breakdown of the latest cases are as follows: 158 are in Dublin, 48 in Cork, 36 in Galway, 28 in Limerick and 174 cases spread across 19 other counties, including 11 new infections in Kilkenny.
