End of the road: Kilkenny gardai seize car driven by unaccompanied learner with no tax or NCT

THIS was the moment Kilkenny gardai seized a car from a learner driver who was caught driving unaccompanied, with no NCT and tax that had expired over eight months ago.

The vehicle was removed by the Kilkenny Roads Policing Unit under Section 41 of the Road Traffic Act after the driver was stopped in Callan yesterday.

A check revealed that the tax on the car expired in April 2018. The NCT on the vehicle expired almost a full 12 months ago last February.

Meanwhile, Kilkenny gardai also seized a black BMW after its owner was discovered driving without tax or NCT.
