LATEST: Kilkenny among 381 new cases of virus as no further deaths confirmed

No further people have died after contracting the coronavirus as 381 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed this evening.

The overall death toll as a result of the virus has now reached 4,921. There have now been 253,189 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the country, according to the latest daily briefing from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).

The breakdown of the latest cases is as follows: 188 in Dublin, 39 in Donegal, 30 in Kildare, 13 in Limerick, 13 in Cork, 13 in Tipperary, 13 in Westmeath and the remaining 72 cases are spread across 15 other counties, less than five cases were recorded in Kilkenny.
