Man (38) charged with firearm offences after injuring two gardai in siege

A man who injured two gardai after firing upon them at a house in Dublin earlier this week has been charged.

Daniel Goulding (38) from Whitechapel Grove in Blanchardstown appeared at as sitting of Dublin District Court this morning charged with five firearm offences.

Two officers had to be rushed to hospital and operated on after receiving bullet wounds from being fired upon after approaching the house Goulding was in on Tuesday night. Neither Garda is said to have suffered serious injuries.

Daniel Goulding was remanded in custody for a week.
