Amost €500,000 worth of drugs seized on motorway near Kilkenny
Gardai seized almost €500,000 of drugs after they stopped and searched a vehicle on M9 motorway near county Kilkenny.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed Carlow-based detectives found an estimated €460,000 of cannabis after they stopped the vehicle yesterday.
The drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
A man aged in his 30s was arrested in connection with this seizure. He is being detained at Carlow Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.
The Garda spokesperson added the investigation “is ongoing”.
