Thief breaks into rural Kilkenny house and makes off with lawnmower and gardening tools

A green-fingered burglar broke into a house in the south of the county and made with some valuable gardening machinery.

The break-in occurred at the house in the Davidstown area of Slieverue on Friday, November 10, ar around 10.30am.

Gardai confirmed a lawnmower, a Black and Decker hedgetrimmer and a Black and Decker strimmer were taken.

Anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area at the time or who has been offered any of these items for sale is asked to contact Mooncoin Garda Station.
