Burnt out car found in Kilkenny after hit-and-run victim left with life-changing injuries
A car found burnt out in county Kilkenny is suspected of being involved in a hit and run which caused life-changing injuries to the victim.
Gardai have re-issued their appeal for anyone with information to about the incident in the early hours of Saturday morning to come forward.
The incident occurred on the main Callan to Kilkenny Road at Ballymack Cross at around 1.10am on Saturday morning.
Two male pedestrians were out walking when a car suddenly struck one of them, causing serious head and leg injuries that a local Garda spokesperson has described as lifechanging.
Yesterday afternoon a car was found burnt out on the R695 between Callan and Kilmangah and gardai believe this may be the vehicle that hit the young man.
Gardai in Kilkenny have urged witnesses or motorists who may have dashcam footage of the Ballymack Cross area between 12am and 3am on Saturday morning to contact either Callan Garda Station on 056 777 5106 or Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
