COVID-19 UPDATE: A further 41 die as WHO says no evidence of immunity in recovered patients

A further 41 people lost their lives from Covid-19 in the Republic of Ireland in the last 24 hours, the HSE said this evening.
The total now stands at 571 in the Republic.
The number of confirmed cases has now reached 778 after another 14,758 were diagnosed.
The total of deaths in Northern Ireland has reached 193 after 17 more people died overnight, as 148new cases of the disease were confirmed, bringing the total figure to 2,486.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organisation has said there is no evidence to support the claim that people who have recovered from Covid-19 are then immune from the disease.
WHO scientists said that despite hopes that an antibody tests could help the fight against Covid-19, there is no proof those who have been infected cannot be infected again.
