Plans for nine sites to build new homes in sought after area of Kilkenny city

Nine fully serviced sites could soon be available to build homes on in Kilkenny city.

Developers John and Allen Flynn have lodged an application with Kilkenny Council Council to create the serviced sites at a one-hectare plot of land at Newpark Lower on the Castlecomer Road, next to the Newpark Hotel.

The developers are looking to provide “all site infrastructure for the provision of nine (number) individual residential sites” on the land.

A new access road with an entrance off the Castlecomer Road would also be developed under the plans, which would also involve the demolition of some existing outhouses on the site.

The council will rule on the application by the end of next month.
