Drunk thugs attack father and son in early morning attack in Kilkenny
A father and son were assaulted in an early morning attack by drunken thugs in Kilkenny city.
The shcking incident occurred at 7am on Saturday morning in the Irishtown area.
The father and son were going about their business when they were approached by two intoxicated men.
One of the men lunged at the father, who received a punch to the side of his face, resulting in a nasty cut above the eye.
The son was also struck, receiving a slap to the face. The father and son managed to get away from the attackers.
The father was taken to St Luke’s General Hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.
