Elderly Kilkenny cyclist rushed to St Luke’s Hospital after collision with lorry
An elderly Kilkenny man was rushed to hospital earlier today after the bike he was cycling collided with a lorry.
The incident happened close to the village of Paulstown between 12.30pm and 1pm.
The man was cycling his bike close to the village when he collided with the cab of the truck that was stationary at the time.
An ambulance rushed the man to St Luke’s General Hospital. He is currently being treated for his injuries, which are understood to be serious due to the nature of the accident.
Emergency services closed the road for a period of time, but it has since reopened.
