Elderly pensioner robbed by heartless thieves offering to sell her saucepans
GARDAÍ have warned householders in Kilkenny and Carlow to be wary of strangers calling at their door.
They issued the warning after an elderly woman was robbed by callers who offered to sell her saucepans. After they left she noticed money was missing.
The incident happened at Powerstown, near Leighlin Bridge and close to the Kilkenny/Carlow border.
Anybody in that area who may have seen anything suspicious or had a similar call to their house is asked to contact Carlow Garda Station on 059 913 1505
