Enable Ireland Kilkenny given €500 grant from Aldi store in Callan
ENABLE Ireland Kilkenny has been given a €500 grant from the Aldi store in Callan in recognition of the charity’s work within the local community.
The €500 giant cheque was presented to Paula Rudkins and Hannah Carey, representing Enable Ireland Kilkenny, by Ger Quinn, the Aldi Callan store ‘Charity Champion’ (pictured together above).
Aldi has donated more than €200,000 to hundreds of charities across the country over the past three years.
Aldi Ireland Group Buying Director John Curtin said: “We are delighted our Callan store employees have chosen to support Enable Ireland, as they play a pivotal role in supporting children and adults with disabilities here in Kilkenny.”
He added: “Supporting the local communities our stores serve is something that we truly believe in. Through our Community Grants programme and partnerships with both FoodCloud and youth organisation Foróige, we have been able to directly help many of the worthwhile charities and organisations making a huge difference to County Kilkenny.”
