Kilkenny hurling legend to line out on TV’s Dancing With The Stars!
A Kilkenny hurling legend known for putting the moves on sticky cornerbacks is about to show just how light on his feet he really is after answering the call to appear on the hit TV show Dancing With The Stars call.
Aidan Fogarty, the 37-year-old five-time All-Ireland hurling winner, has just been confirmed as a contestant in season four of RTÉ’s hugely popular dance show.
The man who hurled with Urlingford’s Emerald’s will have to get used to sequins and swap the familiar black and amber for fake tan and dark trousers as he takes to the dancefloor this winter.
He is the sixth celebrity announced following 2FM presenter Lottie Ryan, B*witched singer Sinead O’Carroll, TV presenter Glenda Gilson, Fair City’s Ryan Andrews and Love Island’s Yewande Biala.
Others rumoured to be hitting the floor, are Olympic Champion boxer Michael Carruth, former Big Brother winner Brian Dowling and RTÉ favourite Mary Kennedy.
Aidan will have to fight for his votes here in Kilkenny as professional dancer and current DWTS champion John Edward Nolan is back to recapture his crown.
Could it be an All-Kilkenny final next Spring?
