Giving back: Five Kilkenny charities benefit from supermarket’s community project
Five local charities have become the latest beneficiaries of a supermarket chain’s community programme.
A total of €2,500 has been awarded to local charities as part of the Aldi’s Community Grants scheme.
Each local charity supported is chosen by Aldi employees, enabling them to help the local good causes they are passionate about.
The five charities that received the €500 grants were Graiguenamanagh Elderly Association Limited, Larc Childcare, Amber Women’s Refuge, Bunscoil McAuley Rice and the Waterford Women’s Centre.
Aldi Ireland Group Buying Director John Curtin said: “We are very proud to have been able to contribute to supporting local charities across the country through the Aldi Community Grants programme and we’re pleased to see the impact of our donation in the local communities for county Kilkenny.”
