It could be you! Final roll call for Kilkenny Roses

THE closing date is looming for entrants to this year’s Kilkenny Rose event.
Aspiring Roses have until the end of the weekend to put their names forward for this year’s festival.
And organisers have vowed it will be an unforgettable experience for anyone who does decide to take part in this year’s event.
Lyn Moloney of the Kilkenny Rose Centre told KilkennyNow.ie: “The girls are having a fantastic time over the past few weeks, and it’s not too late to join in.
“We would love to see any young ladies from the Marble City enter this experience and we guarantee you will not regret it,” Lyn told KilkennyNow.ie.
This year’s local entrants who will be seeking to emulate the 2018 Kilkenny Rose Helena Hughes (picture above, and with Kilkenny manager Brian Cody) will feature in the St Patrick’s Day Parade in the city this weekend.
On March 24 the Roses will gather for a special Afternoon Tea occasion at the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel, who are one of the major sponsors of this year’s event.
The 2019 Kilkenny Rose will be crowned at a selection event in the Ormonde in the first week of April.
