Kilkenny artists’ exhibition attacking consumerism launches in Vienna
A pair of Kilkenny-based artists are opening an exhibition, mainly created from waste material, in one of a European capital’s premier galleries.
Liselott Olofsson and Larry Fogg’s “Material Earth” exhibition is being held in Vienna, Austria and will run until December 15.
Liselott Olofsson, a ceramics artist, and Larry Fogg, a painter and sculptor, are both based in Kilkenny. This exhibiton is the second installation on which they have collaborated.
Their work is an accumulation, of material, of images, and of the effort of making it.
Within the Material Earth exhibition, they are trying to create an affinity of material and method by using everyday, cheap plastic disposable materials to create their pieces.
The exhibition takes place in the Stern Studio in Vienna.
