Kilkenny Bus service temporarily suspended after another attack on coach in city
One route on the Kilkenny City Bus Service was suspended late last night as yet another bus came under attack and had windows smashed.
The incident on the KK2 route occurred on the Hebron Road early yesterday evening, close to where another bus was attacked last week.
In the latest incident, a number of windows on the vehicle were smashed. The decision was taken suspend the service for the evening.
The operators of the city’s bus service, Transport for Ireland, resumed services on the KK2 route this morning.
It is understood that no one was injured during the latest incident.
It is the third time a Kilkenny City Bus has been targeted since the start of the year. The first incident occurred on the KK1 route at Larchfield in January. The second attack took place last Thursday, again on the Hebron Road.
