Kilkenny’s Cartoon Saloon: lunching with the stars at Oscars’ lunch in LA
FROM Kilkenny to the Oscar Nominees Lunch in LA …
Cartoon Saloon’s Academy Award-nominated duo Nuria Blanco and Louise Bagnall were living the high life in Los Angeles yesterday ahead of their big night at this year’s Oscars’ at the end of the month.
The director and producer behind the multi award-winning Kilkenny studio’s beautiful short film Late Afternoon were wined and dined at the official lunch for Oscars nominees yesterday.
This picture shows Nuria enjoying the lunch – with an added sparkle thanks to Kilkenny’s Yvonne Ross Jewellery.
The Kilkenny jeweller posted online: “I was delighted to make a lovely little Ruby and 18ct gold earring and ring set for the very talented Nuria Gonzalez Blanco to wear to the Oscar Nominees Lunch in LA yesterday. Nuria is a nominee for the beautiful and moving animated short Late Afternoon. Best of luck to Nuria and Director Louise Bagnal.”
Nuria and Louise also had the pleasure of meeting leading Irish actor Chris O’Dowd at the star-studded lunch.
Cartoon Saloon confirmed: “The ladies attended the #oscarslunch yesterday and had a ball meeting everyone. Chris was on hand for some lively banter too. Thanks to The Academy for setting this up and for the awesome gifs that are being shared all around.”
Yesterday KilkennyNow.ie revealed the Cartoon Saloon will walk down the Oscars’ red carpet in style on February 25 wearing creations by two of the country’s leading designers, Helen Cody and Alison Conneely.
