LATEST: Kilkenny among 683 new cases of virus as 18 further deaths confirmed
A further 18 people have died after contracting the coronavirus as 371 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed this evening.
The overall death toll as a result of the virus has now reached 4,628. There has been a total of 232,164 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the country, according to the latest daily briefing from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).
The breakdown of the latest cases is as follows: 308 are in Dublin, 68 in Donegal, 49 in Kildare, 35 in Meath, 30 in Offaly with the remaining 193 cases are spread across 21 other counties. Less than five cases were recorded in Kilkenny.
