Thieves caught with drums of stolen diesel on Kilkenny road arrested

Two men were arrested on a county Kilkenny road after gardai found stolen diesel in their car.

They were stopped by gardaí from Graiguenamanagh who were conducting an anti-crime patrol near The Rower on Monday afternoon.

On searching the car, officers discovered drums of suspected stolen diesel in the boot of the car.

After conducting a check of the car using the Garda Mobility App it was discovered the vehicle was uninsured.

The two men were arrested for handling stolen goods and the vehicle was seized.

Both men were later charged and are due to appear at an upcoming sitting of Wexford District Court.
