LATEST: No new cases of virus in Kilkenny, 426 more infections and 10 further deaths nationwide

A further 10 people have died after contracting the coronavirus as 426 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed this evening.

The overall death toll as a result of the virus has now reached 4,884. There have now been 247,489 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the country, according to the latest daily briefing from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).

The breakdown of the latest cases is as follows: 156 in Dublin, 39 in Donegal, 28 in Kildare, 28 in Meath, 25 in Limerick and the remaining 150 cases are spread across 18 other counties. No new cases of the virus were recorded in Kilkenny.
