Lucky Kilkenny punter’s virtual bet is bang on the money
A lucky punter in transformed a modest investment into a tasty four-figure sum in the blink of an eye this week when a virtual horse racing prediction turned out to be bang on the money.
The anonymous winner was in a BoyleSports shop in the county earlier this week when they struck a €5 tricast on a virtual race at Wellington Way.
They needed their three selections to finish first, second and third in the 4.05 race and they couldn’t have picked them any better as Bakers Dozen (10/3), Saucy Saturday (25/1) and Luke Aku (11/1) led home the field to land the ambitious wager.
The savvy punter was able to return to the counter right away and swap their €5 betslip for a cool total of €5,459.75.
BoyleSports spokesman Lawrence Lyonssaid: “We send huge congratulations to our customer in Kilkenny who saw their modest stake strike gold within a matter of minutes. It was a stunning prediction and while the horses were virtual, their pot of €5,459.75 is very real and we wish them happy spending.”
