Could it be you? EuroMillions hits €190m tonight
A LUCKY punter from Kilkenny could be the winner of a record EuroMillions jackpot tonight.
As there was no winner of the €190 million prize in last Friday’s draw, people in nine countries across Europe will be hoping its them this evening.
It is only the fourth time in history that the jackpot has reached its maximum of €190 million, first won by an English family in August, 2012. The €190 million has since been won in Portugal in 2014 and in Spain in 2015.
Ireland’s biggest winner happened earlier this year when the Naul family syndicate won €175million.
If it is to be a Kilkenny winner, we need a change of luck. The National Lottery has just revealed that Kilkenny has the worst luck on their show Winning Streak.
In the last season of the show, just two people from Kilkenny were drawn to appear on the weekly television show, and if that wasn’t bad enough, Kilkenny had the lowest average winnings for any county at €28,000. Monaghan came out on top with €55,000 average.
