Pensioner (80s) arrested after man (60s) was shot dead outside his house

A MAN in his 80s has been arrested following the shooting dead of a second man in Mayo overnight.
The shooting happened at Aghamore, Ballyhaunis, just before midnight.
A man in his 60s was pronounced dead at the scene.
The owner of the house, the man in his 80s, was arrested and brought to Castlebar Garda station for questioning.
Garda are investigating whether shots were fired by the elderly man after he heard activity outside his house.
