Murder probe after man attacked outside house, teenager in custody

Gardaí have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in in Dublin this morning.

It is understood the victim in his 40s was attacked outside a house in the Madison Road area of Kilmainham at around 1.30am. He died at the scene.

A teenager is being questioned at Kevin Street Garda Station in connection with the incident.

A Garda spokesperson said this morning: “Gardaí in Kevin Street are appealing to anyone who may have any information in relation to this matter to come forward and assist them with the investigation. Anyone who was in the Madison Lane area between the hours of 11pm and 2am should contact Kevin Street Garda Station on 01 666 9400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.”
