New graphic to help Kilkenny companies combat cyberattacks

Kilkenny companies and organisations have been urged to keep up to speed with latest information about how to prevent cyberattacks from cripping their business.

Local gardai this week issued this graphic to help businesses to protect themsleves from ransonware and the growing threat of cyberattacks from criminal gangs.

The Cyber Crime Awareness Campaign is continuing this week as part of the European Cybersecurity Month.

A local Garda spokesperson told KilkennyNow: “Businesses are vulnerable to cyber-attack and ransom demands to decrypt sensitive or critical data that has been locked by ransomware. Protect your business by having secure and separate backups. It’s better to prepare than repair.”
