Brian Banahan (Church View, Cuffesgrange, Co. Kilkenny) October 19th 2021 (suddenly). Beloved son of Pat and the late Monica. Much loved brother of Shane. He will be sadly missed by his father, brother, Pat’s partner Ellen, Shane’s partner Stacey, nieces Georgia and Holly, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

A private Requiem Mass for Brian (family and close friends only) will be celebrated on Friday (Oct. 22nd) at 11a.m. in the Church of the Holy Cross, Cuffesgrange followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Should you wish to leave a message for Brian’s family, please do so here

Carmel DEEGAN (née O’Brien)
Bella Vista, Marian Park, Waterford City/Mullinavat, Kilkenny

Former teacher at Presentation National School Waterford. Carmel passed peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Mooncoin Residential Care Centre. Predeceased by her husband John, brothers Fr. Donie and Martin. Deeply regretted by her sons Michael, Brian, Tomás and Aidan, sisters Maureen and Eithne, grandchildren Seán, Miriam, Marie, Mark, Shane, Sinéad, Órlaith, Kate & Daniel, great-grandchild Shay, daughters-in-law Tina, Debbie, Bernadette and Katherine, nieces, nephews, cousin Seamus, family and friends.

Reposing on Friday at Donnacha Doyle & Sons Funeral Home, Grannagh, Kilmacow from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Arriving on Saturday at the Holy Family Church, Luke Wadding Street, Waterford at 11:00am followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ballygunner. Family flowers only please, donations to Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.

Terry Murray, late of The Meadows, Piltown, Co. Kilkenny and Clontreat, Clones, Co. Monaghan. Died 19th October 2021. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Angela, daughter Ellen, sister Breda, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Arriving at the Church of the Assumption, Piltown, Co. Kilkenny for Requiem Mass on Saturday, the 23rd October 2021, at 11am followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Noel O’Connor (Rathclough, Danesfort, Co. Kilkenny) October 19th 2021 at University Hospital, Limerick. Beloved husband of the late Mary and loving father of Jack and Ben. He will be deeply missed by his sons, brothers and sister John, Dave, Malachy, Billy, Mary, Dan and Joe, daughter-in-law Rose, grandson Gavin, Ben’s partner Maria, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Hehir’s Funeral Home from 5.30p.m. on Friday (Oct. 22nd) concluding with Rosary at 7p.m. A private Requiem Mass for Noel (family and close friends only) will be celebrated on Saturday at 1p.m. in St. Michael’s Church, Danesfort followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has taken place of
PIERCE RYAN
Tikerlevan, Graignamanagh, Co. Kilkenny

Pierce died peacefully in Waterford University Hospital this morning 19th October, 2021.

Sadly missed by his wife Carmel, daughters Emma and Saoirse, son Aidan, brothers Johnny, Tommy, Joe, and Jimmy, sisters Chrissie and Anna, his relatives and his many friends. Predeceased by his mother Peggy, father Paddy and brother Pat.

Due to Covid 19 Goverment restrictions, a private family wake will be held for Pierce.

Requiem Mass will take place in Duiske Abbey, Graignamanagh at 11.30am on Thursday 21st October followed by burial in Calvary cemetery.

Friends and neighbours wishing to pay their respects to Pierce and his family can stand by the roadside as the funeral cortége passes down the Thomastown road to Graignamanagh or by or by adding a note of sympathy in the condolence section here.

A special word of thanks to Healy’s Pharmacy, Thomastown, his palliative care team, nurses and staff at Waterford University Hospital for their exceptional care of Pierce.
