‘Nothing compares 2Her’ – Sinead O’Connor confirms Kilkenny gig

ONE of Ireland’s most endearing, yet controversial, musical superstars is bringing her haunting brilliance to Kilkenny later this year.
Sinead O’Connor has announced she is adding a date in The Hub in Kilkenny to her Irish tour on November 2.
O’Connor’s talent came to the fore again recently after her hauntingly powerful performance on The Late Late Show earlier this month where she performed her global chart-topping song ‘Nothing Compares 2U’ and a beautiful cover of The Pogues and Shane McGowan’s ‘A Rainy Night in Soho.’
Her set at the Trip back to Tipp in Thurles’s Semple Stadium last week, where she performed Shane McGowan songs, has won stunning reviews.
O’Connor is to embark on her first Irish tour in four year, starting next month. Her initial four-date tour has now double to eight, with Kilkenny the latest.
The Hub is set to be a hive of activity the first weekend in November, with The Coronas also pencilled in for two dates.
Tickets for Sinead O’Connor’s gig in The Hub went on sale on Friday morning. Tickets can be purchased at: http://www.ticketmaster.ie
