Shocked Kilkenny resident woken to sound of car window being smashed outside house

The window of a car parked outside a county Kilkenny house was smashed by vandals.

The incident occurred at Friars Bridge in Kilkenny just before 4am on Sunday morning.

A local Garda spokesperson confirmed the owner of the black Ford Galaxy heard the window of his car being smashed as he slept inside the house.

However, nothing was taken during the attack.
