Popular Kilkenny book store finds way to beat Covid-19 shutdown

Kilkenny’s best-known book store is operating a delivery service for customers throughout the Covid-19 emergency.

The Book Centre on High Street shut its doors on Monday as part of the national drive to combat the spread of the coronavirus.

However, innovative staff at the store are adapting to the new Covid-19 reality and have been working flat out to deliver books and goods directly to their customers’ homes.

A staff member today told KilkennyNow.ie customers can simply call up the store, place their order and give their payment details and their books, magazines or stationery will be delivered to their home the next day.

Customers can also collect their orders outside the store where they will be met by a member of staff.

For more details, call the Book Centre on 051 873 823.
