REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

Catherine CANNING (née Brennan)
Paulstown

The death has occurred of Catherine (Kathleen) Canning (nee Brennan) formerly of Paulstown, Co. Kilkenny, on Saturday, 19th February 2022.

She died peacefully in St Bart’s Hospital, London after her battle with cancer, with her beloved husband Paul by her side. She will be sorely missed by so many, her children Marie, Sean, Martin and Louise, their partners Paul, Dawn, Debbie and Stu, her adored and adoring grandchildren Stefen, Aurora, Eleanor, Daniel, Keira and Caitlin. Sadly missed by her sisters Nancy, Sadie and Bernie, all extended family members and friends.

Her funeral will take place on Friday, 18th March 2022, at 11.00am in St Mary’s RC Church, Dunstable, Bedfordshire, UK. Family flowers only, please. Donations, in lieu, to myeloma.org.uk or other cancer charities.

Anna CUMMINS (née O’Gorman)
Ballybeigh, Tullaroan/Kilmanagh

Peacefully in the loving care of her family. Predeceased by her husband Patrick, brother Andy, sisters Betty, Rita and Mary. Will be sadly missed by her daughter Betty, sons Laurence, John and Patrick, grandchildren Katelyn, Emma, Patrick, Niall, Bobby and Jessica, son-in-law Neil, daughters-in-law Valerie and Noreen, brothers John, Christy and James, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at her residence on Thursday from 2.30pm to 7.30pm, with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Friday in Tullaroan Church at 11.00am followed by burial in Tullaroan Cemetery.

Joseph (Joe) BRENNAN 
Bishop Birch Place, Kilkenny City

Joseph (Joe) Brennan, Bishop Birch Place, Kilkenny City and formerly of Dean Cavanagh Place, Kilkenny City, died peacefully on 21st February 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital Kilkenny surrounded by his devoted wife and daughters after a short illness bravely fought. Predeceased by his mother Stella. Joe will be deeply missed by his loving and caring wife Fran and daughters Natasha and Paige. Greatly missed by his father Basil, his brothers and sister. Sadly missed by his brothers-in-law Jamie, Anthony, Kevin and Declan, sisters-in-law Mags, Noreen and Jan, his nieces and nephews, relatives, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at his residence on Wednesday (23rd February) from 4pm, concluding with rosary and vigil prayers at 8pm.

HOUSE STRICTLY PRIVATE OUTSIDE OF THESE HOURS PLEASE

Removal on Thursday morning (24th February) to St. John’s Church for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, followed by interment in St. Kieran’s Cemetery.
