REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

Josephine Burke (Dunmore, Kilkenny) February 24th 2022 (peacefully) under the wonderful care of Professor Paddy Mallon and his team at Vincent’s Private Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by her daughter Mairéad and granddaughter Aoife. Beloved wife of Liam and dearest mother of Catherine (Cathy) and James. She will be hugely missed by her husband and children, granddaughter Ella, son-in-law Ruaidhri, daughter-in-law Amanda, brother JohnJoe, sisters Mary (Ross, Manchester) and Sheila (Kenny, Kent), nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and her numerous caregivers.

Reposing at Hehir’s Funeral Home (R95 FH90) from 5.30p.m. on Friday (Feb. 25th) with Rosary at 6p.m. Funeral Prayers on Saturday at 11a.m. followed by Removal to Church of Most Holy Trinity, Dunmore for 12noon Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross.

Whites Castle, Knocktopher

Anne Majella O’Shea, Whites Castle, Knocktopher Co. Kilkenny. Peacefully, at Waterford University Hospital, on Wednesday 23rd February 2022. Predeceased by her parents Tommy and Anne and sister Celia. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing family, brothers Liam, Milo, Tommy, Christy, Jimmy and John, aunt Bridie, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Molloy’ Funeral Home, Callan on Friday, 25th February, from 4pm. Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 6.30pm, followed by removal afterwards to The Carmelite Church, Knocktopher. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 10am with burial afterwards in Kilmoganny Cemetery. With the support and agreement of the O’Shea Family, please adhere to guidelines regarding the wearing of face masks, hand shaking and social distancing in both Funeral Home and The Church.
