Specialist Garda units to give masterclass in policing at Kilkenny event

MEMBERS of the public will have the opportunity to witness a first-hand masterclass in policing this weekend.

Kilkenny Garda Station will host a special Open Day this Saturday, August 24, from 11pm to 3pm, and all age groups are welcome to attend the event.

The Open Day will feature members of many Garda specialist divisions, including the Armed Support Unit, the Public Order Unit, Scenes of Crime Unit, Community Policing Unit, the Roads Policing Unit and the Garda sub Aqua Unit.

A local Garda spokesperson said: “All age groups and welcome for this fun and informative event.”
