SPONSORED: Beat the bad weather blues with ‘Bubbles and Brunch’ at Butler House and Garden

WHAT better way to escape the miserable weather than to unwind at a leisurely brunch with friends accompanied by the sound of popping corks and the gentle fizz of Champagne?

If that sounds like an appetising prospect, Kilkenny’s award-winning Butler House and Garden is the place to be on Sunday, March 24 from 11.30 to 3.30pm, when it hosts its very own ‘Bubbles and Brunch’ event.

“The event is the ultimate way to catch up with family and friends over great food and some bubbles,” said Butler House and Garden’s Sarah Goss.

The intimate venue is the perfect place to kick back and soak up the medieval charm of the building, which has been the Dower House of Kilkenny Castle since as far back as 1786.

And the food is pretty special too. Butler House and Garden recently unveiled its new menus, which are filled with seasonal delights and using only the finest local produce.

Savour the vanilla and bourbon-soaked Brioche French toast, crispy bacon strands, lemon curd, mascarpone and High Banks orchard apple syrup.

There’s also the delicious chicken on a Belgian waffle, or perhaps the steak and eggs, with a 28-day dry cured sirloin garnished with sweet potato fries.

The Butler House kitchen is overseen by Head Chef Gerard Dunne, and the historic venue is nestled in the heart of vibrant medieval Kilkenny, bringing a unique blend of history, charm and romance to guests and visitors.
