Sulky driver ‘fled across fields’ after using pony to commit dangerous manoeuvres on busy Kilkenny road

This pony and sulky were seized after its driver was caught carrying outdangerous manoeuvres  on a busy Kilkenny road.

The driver was stopped by local gardai on Kilkenny’s Ring Road on Saturday night.

A local Garda spokesperson confirmed: “Gardaí in Kilkenny seized this sulkie [sic] and pony this evening after its driver committed a number of dangerous driving manoeuvres, had no lights/reflectors and failed to stop for gardaí.”

Gardai said the occupants “fled across fields” to evade arrest but added that a prosecution will follow.
