Tail with a happy ending as lost Kilkenny pup reunited with family

Kilkenny dog owners are being urged to microchip their pets after a local Garda appeal succeeded in reuniting this beautiful puppy with his owner.

The lost pooch, who was described his gardai who found him in the John Street area, as “an extremely well-mannered Beagle”.

People took to social media to thank the gardai involved in the rescue.

One woman who found the dog and had spent two hours trying to reunite the animal with its owners said: “We were with this dog around 2 hours, trying to found his owner, unfortunately we couldn’t, and we asked help to Kilkenny Garda, whom reacted extremely quickly … thanks again.”
