Thieves break into new house overnight, large haul of tools stolen
THIEVES broke into the site of a new house under construction overnight and made off with a large haul of tools and equipment.
The theft occurred sometime between 6pm last Wednesday and 8am the following morning at the site at Smartcastle, Ferrybank.
A consaw, laser level, cement mixer, a yellow and black De Walt drill were among the tools stolen.
A local Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them. If anyone is offered tools for sale notify Gardaí.”
