Three people arrested in Kilkenny following discovery of drugs in boot of car

Three people are being questioned in Kilkenny Garda Station following the discovery of cannabis concealed in the car they were driving.

A man and a woman in their 20’s and a man in his late teens were arrested after the discovery of more than €1,600 worth of weed in the boot of their cars.

Gardaí on patrol in Kilkenny City spotted a car acting suspiciously in the early hours of this morning and decided to follow the car.

The decision was made to pull the car over and gardai performed a search.

Cannabis worth in the region of €1600 was discovered in the boot of the car. The two men and the woman were arrested under the Misuse of Drugs act and brought to Kilkenny Garda Station for questioning. Investigations are ongoing.
