Roll up for the Great Inistioge Ball Run
THE scene of the magical new Dunnes Stores Christmas TV ad will play host to a very different type of occasion next weekend as the Great Inistioge Ball Run rolls into town.
The Ball Run, which kicks off at 3.30pm next Sunday, December 2, is now in its fourth year and has grown into a very popular fund-raising event for the local community.
Contestants can buy a ball for €5 (or five for €20), before rolling them down the village hill, with big cash prizes for the first few balls than make it down the fastest. And this year you can play from anywhere in the world by buying a ball online.
