UPDATE: Top coffee chain Insomnia opens new store in Kilkenny

POPULAR coffee chain Insomnia’s new store in the Loughboy Shopping Centre in Kilkenny opened for business this morning.

The store, located beside Supervalu, is the chain’s second store – after Insomnia at the Market Cross Shopping Centre – in the city.

Insomnia Coffee Company, one of Ireland’s leading coffee brands, started in 1997 and now has more than 160 outlets, including nineteen stores in the UK.

Insomnia CEO Harry O’ Kelly said: “I am thrilled to open our new store in Loughboy, Kilkenny. I’m confident the residents in the area will love the store and it will hopefully become a new local hub.”

The new Kilkenny store will provide employment for six staff members, including manager Mikayla Guidera who began working with the company two years ago as a barista in the Insomnia Market Cross Shopping Centre.
