Two organised crime gang suspects arrested in dramatic Garda raids

GARDAI have arrested two men following raids targeting organised crime gangs in the region.

A number of vehicles, along with mobile phones and other forms of technology, were seized during the raids which took place yesterday morning.

The gardai targeted two locations in the South East, a lock-up premises and a recycling plant.

Local gardaí from the Kilkenny-Carlow division took part in the raids along with their colleagues from Tipperary, Waterford and North Cork division, backed up members of the Garda Armed Support Unit.

The two men were detained in Clonmel and Dungarvan Garda stations.
