Gardai raid Kilkenny home as probe into horror sex attacks intensifies
GARDAI carried out a raid on a Kilkenny home as part of their investigation into the alleged sexual assaults carried out on teenage girls at a county Wexford resort.
The raid took place in county Kilkenny yesterday and involved large numbers of gardai, according to reports.
Gardai had already interviewed a number of male suspects at their homes in county Kilkenny and Waterford last week. They then returned to one address in county Kilkenny yesterday morning.
However, no arrests have yet been made in connection with the alleged triple sex attack.
Three teenage Dublin girls were allegedly sexually assaulted and at least one of them is suspected of being raped by a group of five teenage boys in Courtown last Sunday morning.
The girls, two of whom are 14 while one is 16, were on holiday in the popular seaside resort when they were attacked.
Gardai have appealed to the public for help that could assist their investigation.
They have urged anyone with information about the incident to contact Gorey Garda Station on 053 943 0690 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
