US marching band brave the rain and wind to entertain Kilkenny shoppers
THEY’RE known as the ‘Marching Braves’ – and this US High School band certainly lived up to their name as they got a taste of some miserable Irish weather in Kilkenny today.
The Mandan Marching Braves from North Dakota donned rain macs as they marched up High Street earlier today, where they entertained shoppers before making their way towards Kilkenny Castle.
And they had their very own security escort as members of the Kilkenny-Carlow Garda division were on hand to provide some support as they marched their way through the streets of the city.
Then it was time to head south as the Marching Braves boarded their bus and headed in the direction of Cork, where they will be performing in the city’s St Patrick’s Parade tomorrow.
