Vigil for murdered Ashling in Kilkenny today
A vigil to remember murdered teacher Ashling Murphy will take place in Kilkenny today.
The event will take place at Kilkenny Castle at 2pm and is among a series of vigils that have taken place across the country in recent days.
It comes as gardai confirmed they have made “significant” progress in their investigation into the murder, which has sent shockwaves throughout the country.
Reports today said gardai are waiting to question a “person of interest” who is currently being treated at a hospital in Dublin for facial injuries.
