WATCH: Top band Kodaline’s emotional tribute to Kilkenny ‘Angel’ Ciara Lawlor
LEADING band Kodaline paid an emotional tribute to a Kilkenny teenager who died at one of their concerts as they performed in Dublin over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Ciara Lawlor tragically lost her life when she collapsed at the concert in Marley Park three years ago.
The band has since done everything they can to help keep Ciara’s memory alive. They performed at the Kilkenny teenager’s funeral, they donated items for fundraising events in her name and they also penned a song for her titled ‘Angel’.
At Saturday’s concert the band played some home videos given to them by Ciara’s family on giant screens in the background while they performed ‘Angel’, after the lead singer Steve Garrigan paid his own personal tribute to their Kilkenny fan.
A video of the band’s tribute has since been posted on YouTube.
