Weather update: A good start today but will turn showery over the weekend

SPELLS of sunshine will be mixed with showers and clouds over the weekend.

Temperatures will remain up in the mid-20s today and will be the best weather of the weekend.

Festival-goers to Alltogethernow should soak up all the sun they can get today, as the good weather will not be around all weekend.

Met Éireann said Saturday will start “dull and humid” in Kilkenny at first. It’s expected to brighten up later in the morning with the chance of scattered showers throughout the day.

Temperatures are not expected to get up over 20 degrees.

Sunday is much the same, again it will be mainly dry with spells of sunshine, with a chance of the “odd shower.” Temperatures will remain in the high teens, maybe just touching 20 degrees.

Bank Holiday Monday will be much the same, cloudy, sunny spells, with the odd shower. Temperatures again expected to hover around 20 degrees.
