Our ‘March of many weathers’ is set to take another twist: Met Éireann

THE beautiful Spring weather we’ve enjoyed over the past few days will get a bit chillier over the weekend.

Met Éireann has warned Kilkenny and the rest of Leinster will experience more cloudy weather with light outbreaks of rain as conditions take another turn for the worst.

Ireland was warmer than parts of Italy and Spain yesterday as the country basked in wall-to-wall sunshine. The capital saw the best of the weather, with endless blue skies and the highest temperatures in the country of 17C.

But our ‘March of many weathers’ is set to take yet another twist as forecasters predicted conditions will worsen over the coming days.

Today will remain quite sunny across Kilkenny and most of the country, but cloud will gradually build up throughout the day.

However, the North and North West will bear the brunt of the bad weather, while temperatures in Leinster set to rise to up to 15C.

On Saturday we will see clouds, with scattered outbreaks of light rain and drizzle throughout the day and it will be cooler than in recent days with maximum temperatures of 9C in the north and up to 12C in the rest of the country.

It will be dry and cloudy on Sunday, but some brighter spells will sneak in in the afternoon but it will be another cool day with temperatures reaching 12C.
