WEEKEND WEATHER: More like Autumn than August…
This weekend may have more of a feel of autumn about it than the first week of August and rain and showers will never be far away.
Although the yellow rain alert will lift in the next hour or so, showers will remain over Kilkenny throughout the day, some heavy and possibly thundery at times. Temperatures will stay in the high teens, 18 or 19 degrees, so there is a chance it could feel quite muggy also.
There will be an improvement on Saturday, there will be drier intervals, but the showers will remain. Temperatures might go up to 20 or 21 degrees.
Sunday should see the rain clear in the main, but the day will be much cooler, 16 or 17 degrees is all. And the unsettled weather of showers and cool temperatures looks set to stay into earlier next week.
